Getting clicks from your Google Business Profile is a good sign.

It usually means the profile is appearing for searches that are relevant enough for people to take a closer look.

But clicks are not the same as enquiries.

If people visit your Google profile and don’t call, message, book, ask for directions, or visit the website, the issue may not be visibility. It may be confidence.

The person may be interested, but not convinced enough to take the next step.

A few things I’d check first:

1. Is the basic information complete and accurate?

The description should make it easy to understand what the business offers.
Opening hours should be current.
The phone number, website link, address, and service information should all be correct.

Small gaps here can create doubt.

2. Do the photos support the decision?

Photos matter because they reduce uncertainty. For many businesses, people want to see the location, the team, the work, the products, the rooms, the equipment, or the result they can expect.

Generic or outdated photos don’t help much.

3. Are there recent reviews?

A profile with very few recent reviews can feel inactive.

Unanswered reviews can also work against trust, especially if the negative ones are left without a response.

You don’t need perfect reviews. But you do need signs that real customers are using the business and that the business pays attention.

4. What do the Performance metrics say?

Look at how people interact with the profile.

Are they clicking through to the website?
Are they asking for directions?
Are they pressing the call button?

This can help you understand where the drop-off may be happening.

5. Is it easy to make contact?

Depending on the business type, adding options such as booking, messaging or WhatsApp can reduce friction.

Not every feature is available for every business. But when it is available and suitable, it can make the next step easier.

A Google Business Profile can attract attention and still fail to convert.

The profile has to answer the practical questions a customer has before contacting you:

What kind of business is this?
What exactly do they offer?
Can I trust them?
Are they active?
Is this the right option for me?
How easy is it to take the next step?

Clicks show interest.

Enquiries usually need confidence.
